Are you withholding positive emotions from yourself?
I found that if I resist feeling the bad emotions, it’s all too easy to ignore the good feelings, too.
The real trick to life, as I see it, is getting good at experiencing and allowing your emotions in, even the uncomfortable ones.
We do this by practicing paying attention to our emotions, without judgment. Just witness them. You may surprised by the freedom and elation you feel when you just let the feelings exist. When we do that, we cease holding on or resisting the emotion, and we can relax in our experience.
